Status of compliance with requirements
This website is not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations applicable to us. Specifically:
Disproportionate Burden
The following content is not provided in an accessible format because doing so would impose a disproportionate burden on us:
- Contrast: Some elements of our website have insufficient contrast. The color scheme is part of our long-standing corporate identity. Therefore, adapting the website is not possible without a complete overhaul of our CI.
- Different link descriptions for a single target page: In a few places, different descriptions are used for links pointing to the same destination. This is context-dependent; the designations are so closely related that they remain understandable.
- Identical titles on different pages: For technical reasons, the titles of all Insights overview pages are the same.
- Form status notifications: For technical reasons, status notifications in our forms can only be made visually apparent.
- Video content: Video content does not include a textual or audio alternative. Autoplaying video content lacks pause, stop, or hide control buttons.
- Expanded filter display in Insights: For technical reasons, our filter overlay does not consistently communicate roles, structure, and selection status. Additionally, it is not possible to close the filter overlay when navigating with a keyboard.
An accessible implementation of these specific functions involves such a high development effort that we must classify it as a disproportionate burden. As we are a small team, we have currently decided to focus our energy on the accessibility of the most important areas of the site, rather than rebuilding the entire system. Furthermore, the third-party software or system architecture used cannot be adapted for accessibility without complete reprogramming. The development effort here is disproportionate to the benefit. We ask for your understanding.
If you rely on information from these non-accessible areas, please feel free to contact us at solutions@ubilabs.com. We will then prepare the information for you individually and free of charge.
Evaluation method
For testing, we used the "Accessibility Insights for Web" tool (version 2.49.0) for both manual and automated testing. For automated testing, the axe-core library (version 4.11.3) is used.
Further measures to improve accessibility on our website
We constantly strive to improve accessibility on our website. Currently, we are taking the following steps to achieve this:
We continuously implement measures to improve the accessibility and user experience of our website. Employees have been and continue to be trained and sensitized on the topic of accessibility. We will continue to regularly review whether we can update additional content to make our site more accessible.
