Ubilabs becomes CARTO's exclusive partner in the DACH region
Ubilabs is CARTO’s new and exclusive partner for the DACH region. The partnership combines our long-standing expertise in working with geospatial data and user-centric solutions with a powerful Agentic GIS platform for cloud-native, AI-ready spatial analysis.
How can geographical data be used to create tangible added value? At Ubilabs, we have been addressing this question for many years. For us, it is never just about technology or maps. The specific use case is key: Which decision needs to be supported? Which data is relevant for doing so? Working closely with our clients, this often results in bespoke solutions.
With CARTO, we are now expanding our offering to include a powerful Agentic GIS platform that opens up new possibilities for the analysis and use of spatial data. This will enable us to provide access to an enterprise-grade platform on which complex geographical questions can be addressed in a scalable manner, directly on existing cloud data platforms.
CARTO: Analysing geospatial data – right where it lives
CARTO is a cloud-native agentic GIS platform that enables organisations to analyse, link and visualize geospatial data directly on existing cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Databricks. With low-code workflows and spatial analytics, even complex geospatial analysis doesn’t require transferring data to separate GIS systems or to programme each analysis step individually.
A key feature is CARTO’s Agentic GIS approach: users can ask spatial questions using natural language, whilst AI agents in the background access relevant data, tools and workflows to generate analyses or maps. This not only makes spatial analysis more powerful and more tightly integrated into existing data infrastructures, but also makes it accessible to a significantly wider audience within the organisation, namely business users, leadership teams, and employees with no GIS or coding background.
This partnership is an important step for CARTO in the DACH region. Ubilabs shares our belief that spatial analysis should work for every team, not just GIS specialists, and that AI agents should run where your data already lives. We’re excited to bring Agentic GIS to more customers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, alongside a partner who knows this market so well.
Trusted by businesses worldwide
Across a wide range of industries, CARTO is already helping companies turn spatial data into tangible business value. ING, for example, has developed a tool for selecting residential areas that combines data on housing, local services, and demographic information to help customers identify areas that match their needs, preferences, and budget. Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan analyzes data from more than 700,000 vending machines and combines sales information with data such as points of interest and pedestrian traffic to identify gaps and opportunities in its network and predict performance by location. DPD Ireland uses spatial analytics to optimize delivery routes across its entire network, which helps improve operational efficiency and streamlines processes for drivers and depots. ASDA, in turn, combines demographic data, mobility data, and data on points of interest to identify suitable locations for package lockers and support profitable network expansion.
Ubilabs puts CARTO into practice
As the exclusive CARTO partner and reseller for the DACH region, we look forward to offering companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland direct access to this powerful platform, whilst also providing personalized, regional support. For us, this involves much more than simply providing a licence: we combine CARTO’s technology with our expertise in location-based data and complex real-world challenges. Together with our customers, we identify the relevant use cases, establish the appropriate technical requirements and support the implementation – with the aim of ensuring that CARTO is not merely introduced, but creates tangible and sustainable added value within the organisation.
