What is the Google Maps Platform?
Google bundles its services and APIs for interactive map applications in the Google Maps Platform. With Maps, Routes and Places, it includes all services for developing interactive maps and integrating them into your own applications.
Anyone who wants to use map applications with Google Maps must create a billing account - either online, directly at Google, or via us as a Google Cloud Partner.

Can I use Google Maps free of charge in my Android or iOS app?
The use of the map display with the Google Maps SDK for Android or the Google Maps SDK for iOS is free of charge as part of Google Maps Platform.
What happens if the free credit is not sufficient?
The Google Maps Platform is priced based on the usage of the APIs and SKUs provided by Google. These are divided into three categories: essential, pro and enterprise. Pricing for the Google Maps Platform is tiered according to the number of queries for the APIs and SDKs used.Usage of Google Maps services beyond these limits is calculated on a consumption-based model.

Can I pay by invoice?
There are two ways for customers to use the Google Maps Platform: directly through Google or via a Google Partner. When working directly with Google, billing is done in dollars and by credit card. If you use the Google Maps Platform through Ubilabs as a certified Google Partner, you also have the option to pay by invoice.

Technical Questions
How do I integrate the Google Maps Platform into my app or website?
Google Maps Platform continues to offer the same APIs, SDKs, and web services. The technical nature of the integration does not change: You create an API key in the Google Cloud Platform Console that lets you link a domain or app with your account.
What does "for development purposes only" mean?
The map is gray and you get the message “for development purposes only”? This means it's time to integrate an API key and/or create a billing account. These are two basic requirements for using Google Maps services. We will help you make the necessary transition.
