Answers to the most frequently asked questions about the integration and use of Google Maps platform

General Questions

What is the Google Maps Platform?

Google bundles its services and APIs for interactive map applications in the Google Maps Platform. With Maps, Routes and Places, it includes all services for developing interactive maps and integrating them into your own applications.

Anyone who wants to use map applications with Google Maps must create a billing account - either online, directly at Google, or via us as a Google Cloud Partner.

Can I use Google Maps free of charge in my Android or iOS app?

The use of the map display with the Google Maps SDK for Android or the Google Maps SDK for iOS is free of charge as part of Google Maps Platform.

What happens if the free credit is not sufficient?

If the free credit limit of US$200 per month is not enough, you have the option to pay for further use on the basis of usage, billed either via a credit card, or, via Ubilabs, against an invoice. The Google Cloud Console lets you keep full control of your costs. Here you can set up quotas to suit your budget.

We can provide you with a non-binding calculation and help you estimate the monthly costs - contact us via e-mail to maps@ubilabs.com.

Can I pay by invoice?
